Melissa Shoes Winter 2012

I’ve long lusted after a pair of gorgeous Melissa’s Shoes and have been smitten with the brand ever since its brilliant collaboration with Vivienne Westwood. I got a sneak peak at the brands winter collection and just had to share what they have planned for stores!

If you haven’t tried on a pair of Melissa’s you don’t know what you’re missing out on. The heels are beyond comfortable and the ballet pumps make you feel like you’re walking on air.

This winter Melissa’s is encouraging you to put your best foot forward in rainbow brights, warm berry reds, pastel shades of purple and gorgeous glittery pinks.

Originally from Brazil, Melissa has revolutionised plastic footwear in terms of style and technology, and is about to explode into the South African market. Made from eco-friendly materials and 100% recyclable, Melissa shoes are ecologically sound – so you can look great and help out the planet! The shoes are soft to touch, flexible, durable and have a patented fragrance (it reminds me of the scented My Little Pony range when I was a little girl!).

This season’s range is all about quality, comfort and of course style. Be it a flocked ankle
boot or sexy stiletto; don’t let the weather stop you from trending the hottest shoes in
town.

Melissa shoes are available at selected stockists nationwide or for stockist details call: Tel: +27 83 643 5617. Stockists include Nicci Boutique, ThreeJs Boutique, Toast and Co., Black Coffee.

College Cool

I’m loving the collegiate trend that’s popping up at the moment – preppy skirts, collared shirts, and cardis are set to be all the rage this winter.

Mr. Price has some pretty cute options if you’re keen to try your hand at this trend. Take a look at what I found.

I love this varsity jacket – it’s super warm and is the perfect thing to throw over a dress or tank top and jeans. They come in all sorts of colours – green, red and blue.

This cute green pullover is the perfect thing to tie your look together. Wear it over a crisp white shirt like the model in the pic and you’re sorted for the ultimate collegiate look.

For more ideas on how to pull this look together take a look at the collage below.

Dress For Success in a Shirt Dress

If you only buy one thing this winter make sure it’s a T-shirt dress. These little numbers are super versatile and can be worn over tights, with stockings or with knee high boots. Here are some cute options I found.

The cute boy-ish T-shirt dress above is from awesome local online store I Love Leroy. No retail price available but click through to the I Love Leroy website for more information.

I love this star print black and cream shirt dress from Sissy Boy. The dress retails from 899.00.

This cute blue-green shirt dress from Woolworths is a must-buy! It’s the perfect wardrobe addition for summer or winter.
