Jack Parow at Trinity

Mr. Jack Parow is getting set to invade the City Bowl at the end of July. The king of Zef will be performing at Trinity night club on Saturday 30 July 2011.

I saw Jack Parow live a few weeks ago at China White night club on Tygervalley’s Edward Street and was blown away. He’s got that old school rock star swagger that so many artists lack these days and as a result he grabs your attention (and keeps it) from the moment he steps on stage. Even as he downs double brandy and cokes on stage Parow is charming as hell.

Jack Parow is truly an awesome performer and I’d definitely label him as a ‘must-see’ act … purely for his showmanship on stage. He is very raw on stage, often performing in shorts, a tank top, and his signature extra long peaked cap, and litters his sentences with words like poes and naai. He’s not for the faint at heart but he’s fascinating to watch and his songs are actually better performed live.

More information about the gig is available on Facebook. The line-up includes Dean Fuel and Mix ‘n Blend. Doors open at 22:00 and tickets are R100 at the door, R200 for VIP, and only R50 for guest who eat in the restaurant before. Presale tickets are also available through webtickets at R80 or R180 for VIP.
