Get Firm and Fabulous with FitFlop

Summer is all about long walks on the beach and lazying about. The gym becomes a distant memory as we revel in the good times of the holidays. If you’re feeling a little guilty about ignoring the gym these holidays I’ve got a great little trick for you – FitFlops!

The unique shoe that helps to tone legs and thighs has just had a bit of a summer make-over with the launch of the sassy new FitFlop range. I got a cute pair of purple Frou FitFlops to try out this summer and I have to say I’m loving them. I love the floral-inspired design and the fact that you can be stylish while also working up a bit of a sweat. The Frou style comes in electric indigo, fuchsine, black and pebble.

The sandals go great with jeans, shorts, skirts and dresses – anything really – and they give you a little height boost too! If you’re not a fan of the Frou design the range has lots of other cute designs to choose from – like the one below.

FitFlops are made with Microwobbleboard technology – hidden in the wedge-shaped toning sole. This causes a ‘floating’ effect called the Freefoot360, while tightening and toning the muscle tissue in your legs with every step you take. The Freefoot360 effect also helps improve posture and reduce pressure on your ankles and knees.

The pair I got will set you back R899.00.

Pop Ya Colour

Skinny jeans are still all the rage but this summer they’re coming out in brighter-than-bright colours. Think tangerines, pinks and cobalt.

Coloured denims look great when paired with neutrals and whites, but if you’re feeling bold try colour-blocking (pairing one bright bold colour with another). Shocking pink and tangerine and electric blue and yellow go great together.

All of these colourful denims are available at Sissy Boy stores nation wide. They’ll set you back R699 but you’re probably going to live in them this summer so it’s worth the splurge.
