College Cool

I’m loving the collegiate trend that’s popping up at the moment – preppy skirts, collared shirts, and cardis are set to be all the rage this winter.

Mr. Price has some pretty cute options if you’re keen to try your hand at this trend. Take a look at what I found.

I love this varsity jacket – it’s super warm and is the perfect thing to throw over a dress or tank top and jeans. They come in all sorts of colours – green, red and blue.

This cute green pullover is the perfect thing to tie your look together. Wear it over a crisp white shirt like the model in the pic and you’re sorted for the ultimate collegiate look.

For more ideas on how to pull this look together take a look at the collage below.

Pretty as a Daisy

It’s official flowers are trending in a BIG way this Spring/Summer. Inspired by the 1950s and every thing pretty this trend is a must-include when emerging from the dullness that was winter. I’ve just bought a gorgeous pair of floaty floral shorts from YDE and was inspired to share some ways to add a little floral infusion to your look this summer.

I love these slight cat eye floral sunglasses from Dolce&Gabbana. Pick them up for R2290 at Sunglass Hut ( a little steep but worth it if you’ve been meaning to invest in a new pair for summer). I’m also a fan of these Oversized floral sunnies also D&G. You’ll find these priced at R2290 at Sunglass Hut.

Patterns are alive from ditzy to over-sized and in every shape and form, from floaty tea dresses, right down to swimwear and accessories. These two little dresses, both from Sissy Boy are a perfect way to pretty-up your wardrobe. Both dresses are R699 at Sissy Boy stores.

If you’re not too keen to go overboard with the floral look or don’t want to dent your pocket too much why not try a subtle floral head piece like this cute headband from Foschini. It’ll set you back just R40 and it’s cute as hell.

Shop Up a Storm … without leaving home

I’ve discovered an online clothing boutique which I had to share! Diligo has tons of stuff to keep you on trend and ahead of your friends … and the best bit is you can get it without having to leave your lounge.

Diligo delivers anywhere in South Africa so not matter where you are in SA you can easily get your hands on their wares. If you’re based in Cape Town you can request a door-to-door delivery and even better if you’re based in the CBD they’ll deliver it for free ( ask them first as you have to be in a reasonable delivery distance). I’m loving the cute animal print mini dress above.

This flower-print dress would look great with boots and tights or sandals. The online shop has regular sales and their regular priced stock is very competitively priced compared to most chain stores. Keep an eye out on their site or subscribe to their newsletter so you don’t miss out on updates on sales and competitions.
